Brainy college students complete uni course
FIVE Stourbridge A-level students have won awards after having a taste of university life.
The group, from King Edward VI College, successfully completed an undergraduate module course in marketing and communications at Wolverhampton University.
Business students Rebecca Myatt, aged 18, from Stourbridge, Emily Smith, and Katie Evans, both aged 18 and from Halesowen, Matthew Hunt, aged 17, from Kingswinford and Hannah Cartwright, aged 18, from Pedmore, attended 15 sessions at the university with first year under-graduates to pass the module.
Business studies teacher Peter Gray said: "This has been a wonderful achievement for the students concerned. It now means they already have a qualification which could count towards a final degree course."
The students and their families attended a special award presentation at the Wolverhampton University Science Park, where they were presented with their certificates from the university's Pro Vice Chancellor Sir Geoffrey Howe.
